When Relationships Get Boring.

When we give up completely because we’ve already won someone’s heart, we tend to forget that we could lose it. Obviously we can’t recreate the first few magical months that occur when you first start dating a person forever, because the whole comfort thing naturally won’t allow it. What we can do is make sure that both ends are having their needs met. Relationship maintenance is crucial. As long as two people are mindful of the other’s feelings, things are so much more likely to run smoothly.

Here’s the big picture: we can love being a social recluse or butterfly, that’s not necessarily what’s important. At the end of the day, the person you’re doing those things with is what matters. If you love your partner, does it matter if you’re lying on the couch in matching Cheeto-finger stained Snuggies or dancing the night away in a lively club? Absolutely not. Different strokes for different folks has never been truer than when it comes to couples and their preferences. Sure, it helps to keep things interesting and add a dash of spontaneity here or there, but excitement and pleasure come in many different forms to many different people. As long as you’re making someone feel as happy as you do, the sharp objects will turn to speed bumps, and the tires will grow more durable.

THE FIRST THING I'D DO IF I HAVE A FREAKING OVEN/MICROWAVE OVEN AT HOME.

My associate director introduced me to Paul & Joe (allow me to digress abit here but my AD is so stylish till she became my fashion inspiration!) and I fell in love with the products almost instantly. I've seen it when I was working in Taka many years ago but never really got down to the details and the fact that their collections are damn sweet and cute, I've no choice but to get the lipsticks. I can't wait for it to reach SG and for me to try out. Yes I'm totally into lipcolours nowadays.

Sadly true but oh wells, I've gotten used to this aren't I? And no, I'm not gonna go into further details.

So I decided to spend my Sunday with grandma since it's been a while we've met and settled for lunch at Fish & Co, Paragon. I had my Salmon cravings fixed, twice in a week fyi and grandma had her Shrimp Soba Salad. Accompanied with Cappucino and Honey Chamomile for both of us. Aside from that, Al-Falah for our prayers throughout the day which made me felt extra pious because I did my Zohor, Asar and Marghrib despite being out and about in town. It definitely felt good and I really hope I can keep up to that. Insyaallah. Ps; I've always wished to change my type of dressing because I'm VERY aware that I can dress abit openly at times. Especially when it comes to special occasions and I hope I can do so soon. Idk either. It's tough trying to make a change like that. Or maybe it's just me. :(

 

Okay, the main reason why I was out was because my grandma wanted to get me a Zojirushi thermos flask for me to bring to work. I mean, I thought it'd be nice to have one and since grandma offered to get one. Why not right? Hehe. So she chose the glitter pink one for me and hell yeah, we've got the same taste. It's sleek and sweet. Perfecto! 

+ I GOT MYSELF AN AGNESB PURSE IN MY FAVOURITE COLOUR. I KNOW I'M NOT SUPPOSED TO SPEND UNNECESSARILY BUT I CAN'T HELP IT BECAUSE IT'S SUCH A GORGEOUS CLASSIC PIECE. LITERALLY WAS A LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT AND I'M NOT REGRETTING IT WHEN I SWIPED MY CARD TO PAY FOR IT. OKAY ENOUGH, NO NEW WALLET FOR THE NEXT 2 YEARS OR SO. MAYBE HEHEHE. SIDE TRACK ABIT, NOW MY PURSE CAN MATCHING-MATCHING WITH MY BLACK & GOLD AGNESB EARRING LE CLIQUE GOT ME ON MY 21ST! ^^

 

My aunt came to join us and we got a couple of bed and bathroom sets from Sheridan. Therefore, you see my cutie mentel cousin that took a photo with me right after our Asar prayers. She's still in her telekung and I just covered my head with my hoodie cardigan. I think we looked damn angelic la please. HAHA. Anyway, that's before we proceed to Ayam Penyet President at Lucky Plaza which btw, serves extremely spicy stuffs. They almost had cili padi in every single thing. No I ain't complaining but I was down with sore throat and by right, I'm supposed to avoid any of those. BUT, by left, or rather me being myself, went ahead with whatever's served. Which results in getting 2 days MC (weds & thurs) and a whole bunch of medication that needs to be swallowed after every meal. -_-

Atiq's Fabulous 21st!

Exactly a week ago, we celebrated Atiqah's 21st birthday at her place. I swear everything was well planned and it was very obvious that her sisters and brothers and all her family members put in alot of effort to make it a splendid one for her. Blessed, indeed she was! I was glad I was invited. I mean, she HAS to! Hahaha.

Okay before I spam the photos, I'm appaled that I didn't take any pictures of the dessert table. Her sisters bake all sorts of cakes and cookies. There was even a fondue machine complete with grapes, marshmallow, banana and strawberries! The chocolate was generously refilled because we girls kept attacking it! Hahaha. There was also home-made egg tarst! Omgggg I'm a fan of egg tarts and to know that it was freshly baked, wah seh! (Y)  I even thought of bringing home a few but I was too.. Shy. :P

 They cleverly had the posters up on the wall and that became our backdrop for all the camwhoring/photoshoot session! Without a doubt, we made real good use of it! Especially with the help of those DIY mask/moustache/sexy lips made from foam boards which Tomato kindly offered to make.:D

Let's fast forward abit.. All of us was caught off guard when the lights was suddenly switched off and then came mini lights that came from the candles. That can only mean one thing, BIRTHDAY CAKE + BIRTHDAY SONG! Atiqah's face was priceless, she was really happy and it was super obvious. Just look at the rest of the photos and you'll get what I mean.

 We've been friends to close to 3 years already! Time sure as hell passed really quickly!

It's really cute how her baby brother, Hakeem, also got for Atiqah a present. They now have a matching keychain! Hehe and I too, love the studded jacket the Ri Stationers' girls got for her!

 I'M JUST GLAD SHE LOVED THE GIFT WE GOT FOR HER!

But things doesn't end there, Hana and I took lotsa time to think and write down a composition for her on this BIG birthday card which is then filled with photos of us all on different occasions! Love love love.

 Of course she had more but I can't be posting each and everything here right? :P

I had an awesome time and I hope the birthday girl had a great night too! Things may be a lil tough for you in between days and months but I hope that you know that everything and anything happens for a reason. Cheers to you my darling who turned 21 on 14th September and may you find happiness in all the small crazy things that had happened or will happen in time to come! Life's unpredictable but it sure is a blast!
