Peace in my heart please.

Honestly, I don't like to blog about the "bad" or "sad" things happening and also about my "personal" + "work" life. By personal life, not necessarily about love but also family and friends included and for work, it's not that I don't want to share but haiya idk la. I'm having truckloads of what ifs at this point of time and I need to stop trying to "run-away" from whatever situations I'm in.
Actually, I don't even know what I'm talking about. I think I'm just rambling. Maybe.. All I need is a getaway, not a "run-away" (whatever that means anyway hahaha).

Food and family.

My aunt, grandma and cousins on my dad's side came over for the weekend and we had a mini feast for both nights. This pictures may be backdated, especially for those who followed me on twitter and instagram because that's where I post things 80% of the time, but for those who don't, here they are! 

  Saturday Night: Mama Yam cooked sedap and pedas Mee Goreng and made awesome Potato Salad, in fact she made a portion so huge, we had it for 3 straight days and.. Didn't get bored of it one bit! (Y) As usual, Mom cooked Asam Pedas Ikan Pari (my all time favourite) and some beans vege with meat (simple AND still, good). Mama Yam fried a whole lot of Cempedak Goreng! Would have been better if it was hot but there was almost no time to re-heat it all as it was near break fast time. Dad made Chendol too! Last but not least, TANG YUAN! Yes those adorable red and pink balls are simply lovely. I've always wanted to try it out but never got the chance, till last Saturday that is. Anyway, to "spice" things up, I added in Sprite! Haha it taste better actually! :P

Sunday Night: I wanted to eat Kuih Nagasari so much! Okay let me be specific, perhaps for 4 years. I bought the Hoon Kueh flour(4 years ago) but didn't use it till it actually expires! HAHAHA. Dad helped to get the ingredients and.. I made/cooked it, FROM SCRATCH. It's actually damn easy but when the mixture starts to get cooked, it curdles so fast that you have to keep stirring till you hands bleed. HAHA k sorry drama mama abit. Anyway, you get my point. But whatever it is, I was happy with the end result! 

Split the batter into 2 and made Kuih Jongkong as requested by Dad. It's similar to Nagasari but only the filling is different, it's gula melaka instead of banana. :) Hardest part for this was the wrapping up of it into the "proper" shape. Didn't get to master it but I'm sure (I hope) I'll have time to do again in the future.

 Imagine.. Waking up at 5 am for sahur aka pre-dawn meal and when you checked your handphone, you see such a comment?!?! I admit, I was a little starstruck. Hahaha but all's good because my whole objective was to get the right words. Aku, Kau dan Dia, was worth my time watching and erm.. Crying. Hahaha I'm giving it a 3.8/5. It would have been better if the lead actress was someone else though because the current was almost expressionless? Or perhaps she simply didn't play her character well? Or it's not easy acting it out? IDK and IDC. Lol. Oh well, that's just my 2 cents. ;)

I have a thousand and one cravings when I'm fasting and it's worse if the time of the month is coming, which btw perhaps coming in a few days time. Mine's always the first week of every month and I dread it so so much! :(

I wish I was strong enough to live like one but both of us.

Sure, things may be tough and rough but I'm not gonna let those get in my way. I need to learn to be more positive and that only through some pain will I gain. Aside from that, I've been faithfully going for terawih prayers. I don't know how to explain myself here but this year, things are different. I don't have to wait for my parents much persuasion to ask or remind me to go the mosque but I myself, wants to go. You get what I mean? Yeah I'm surprised at myself for this "change". Though I admit I'm not the best muslim out there. My only week point is dressing up a lil openly at times, usually are sleeveless tops.( Never tube tops coz I feel damn damn uncomfortable baring my shoulders for the world to see. And yes, I've posted pictures of me in those but I only dare to do so when I'm home. Haha.) For this Ramadhan, I just feel like.. Somehow or another, time is running out.

Had a good Monday night at Clementi Mall's Seoul Garden. I pretty much ate to my heart's content or rather, my tummy's content, which btw ain't that big. Haha. Spammed quite a lot of the Teriyaki Beef and Marinated Squid (my favourite of the loot!) K la, that's not all I had but you guys should already know what's available. We had almost everything! Hehe.

I'm never a fan of macaroons but those from Antoinette, was surprisingly good and if you're wonddering who came by the office with that, it's none other than our official photographers from Werkz! That aside, I'm finally done with the Commencement 2012 and atleast now, I've got an idea on how things goes and what to expect next. Worked for 4 months and counting.. Still having quite a lot of mixed feeling from time to time but nvm that, I shall see how things goes. Anyway, I reached home only at around 1, "chilled" at KAP Mcds for desserts and drinks and slept at 2am only to wake up again at 5 for pre-dawn meal. Haiz time passes so damn fast la. Speaking of which, that's my hair 2 years ago. Yeah it was thattt healthy and nice and soft and... K the list could go on. Haha. I promise to have it back like that real soon. Gonna pamper it with a damn good treatment and have it trimmed at the usual place. No more coloring for the locks though that has always been at the back of my head.
Dark ash brown? Ruby brown? Or to do something a lil different and go for an Ombre?

 .. Then tell what it is?

Truth be told, I left the matters of the heart in god's hand.

Last night I was just thinking on how much I miss him and then this came to my mind, remember my post before this, "6pm"? Oh my goddd, it was like a "blessings in disguise"! All that I wanted at that point of time, came true. Unbelievable? Right on. I told myself that even if it's just a one time off dinner kinda thing, it's okay. I should count my blessings and continue praying for more. Nobody knows who I'll end up with. Neither me nor you.  

I hope you readers out there are all happy with your individual partners in life.
 Have a good mid-week lovelies and a note for all of us.. Give yourself a chance, and have faith.

We pretty much were early and started without Daryl because he was SUPER late.

ALL of us had pasta because if you don't know, there isnt' much choice at Canele's.  Mostly are either burgers (or pastas) but unfortunately that's not filling enough for all of us whose damn hungry at that point of time. Especially me la! My tummy was doing some kinda of hip hop dance while I was in 190 to town. -_-

3 shots before it was not blur and my hands weren't all over the place! Heheheh.

Three thumbs up for the Triple Choc Cheesecake to "surprise" Michael. I mean, it WAS a surprise because he didn't suspect anything, at all! Hahaha good last minute planning on the cake aye? ;)

 It was a belated celebration and we got a a Topman Checkered shirt for him! I totally forgot to take a picture of the wrapped present (in a shape of a shirt with a tie)! Haiya seriously a waste for not capturing it. Anyway, Ri Stationers, where Atiqah's working at, has really cool and quirky stuffs. Plus, their wrapping services are one of a kind. So.. do head there for a look! Hahaha I'm doing free advertising here. :P

 

 The two other people missing for last Friday night are Zijie (table tennis practice) and Justin (haven't book out yet) :( So sad lor, I wished they both were there then it'd be perfect. Full attendance are hard to comeby and FYI, it took us 2 weeks to set a date and agree on it! Hahaha but thank god, atleast it happened. 

After dinner, we went to window shopped for a while and I DIDN'T KNOW THAT MARC BY MARC JACOBS HAD A 50% SALE. Was about to go crazy but too bad nothing catches my eye. I thought of getting the charm bracelets but they were all pretty chunky and if you don't know, I'm not into all those. To add to my "misery" there aren't many pretty bags. Mehhh boring. :(

Hana had to make a move first so the rest of the guys and I, went to walked around, aimlessly, while waiting for Atiqah to end work. Then it was.. Taka > Cine > BFF > KFC.  Anyway, we, or rather I, plan to meet up as often as I/we can and never to leave the group whatsapp convo for that's what been keeping this friendship alive.  

At 6pm.

If only, someone would pick me up once a week right after I end work and bring me out for a simple quiet dinner. Just the two of us, talking, sharing, laughing and filling each other with details about work, family or even friends. And then followed by a stroll somewhere, enjoying the breeze and the lovely company for the night. That, is just what I want, at this very moment.
