"As the ocean is never full of water, so is the heart never full of love." #projectMaldives (Part 3)

Enjoy the visuals ladies, and gentlemen...

Captured by one of the dive master from another group.

One of those days where we decide to explore the island, Maafushi, by foot and was done in less than 45mins? They had these kinda seats EVERYWHERE so i just HAD to. HAHA.

When Atiqah decides to "abandon" me and go over to the other side of the Island. Therefore it's me-time at one of the most lavish villa aka Adaaran Prestige Vadoo Maldives, looking at my sayang's videos and our photos on repeat while I get myself a lovely tan. Psstt meet my only companion for that 3-4 hours of soaking in Vitamin D.

Like I've mentioned before, I never thought I would visit Maldives before I tie the knot but I guess everything happens for a reason and that god probably have a better place in mind for my honeymoon. Hahaha but rest assured I will visit this romantic place with my sayang for one of our vacations. In sha allah la hor. :)

Such a simple dessert you would say but we had this every single night at Crystal Sands. It's like a routine. Banana fritters with vanilla ice cream drizzled with sweet fresh honey. Total omggg so nice it makes my mouth water right about now!!

Our last breakfast at Sun Tan Beach Hotel and finally something Maldivian that I could get.
A slight twist to the chapatti. Here in Maafushi, you eat it with tuna flakes, coconut and idk what greens all combined together. Not too bad as finally there was some spices used!

You would have guessed that I've ran out of words to describe the last leg of my journey in Maldives but hey, to come this far (blogging) and to spend less than $1400 ($1200 if I didn't buy my Chanel Chance Hairspray and nonsense at the airport when we were on the back! Hahaha) for this whole 6 days trip to such alluring islands and gorgeous views at every angle, it's like an #achievementunlocked. Now I totally understand when one describe how it feels like to travel because when you have a "tight" budget to work with. A reasonable one that is, followed by lots of luck I must add. Hehhehe.

To be uploaded are:
  • Stand up paddling at such a good price on our first try.
  • My first time on a jet ski and giving it a go aka went crazy with the speed for no charge.
  • Dophins dolphins dolphinsss!!!
Of course the day where I got to see purple-pink fishes like those in Sea Aquarium, a few sea cucumber, plenty baby sharks (1 came extremely near and I freaked out x100 + almost fall off my paddle board!), beautiful doubleeee rainbow, perfect sunset when one of the instructors was busy paddling and catching waves for me hahaha, I didn't have my gopro strapped. Yupp perhaps it just wasn't meant to be.

 Till then, #projectM.

Singapore to Maldives and on a budget? POSSIBLE! #projectMaldives (part 2)

Okayyy hiii I'm back again and I aim to round up on my Maldives trip! Aside from the fact that I was crazy annoyed with work, I thought why not take a break and to hell with whatever's happening? Hahaha just kidding. I've done all that I have to do and currently waiting for latest updates which btw will always come in at the very last minute. -_- Pfft. Nevermind that, moving on....

The modern all white interior won us over and it was really our luck that we got upgraded to the biggest room in Crystal Sands. You had no idea how crazy the two of us went, or rather, perhaps just me la hahahaha. Pretty much screamed in delight and if you'd like a walk through of our room, feel free to watch it here and here! We highly highly recommend this place and if you're on your honeymoon, it will still be as perfect!!!

The lobby was all cleaned and cosy, wifi was great and that's me and Atiqah looking all burnt. HAHA.

The highlight of the night!!! And nopeeeee I didn't just post for the photo with them two. I "caught" it for like around 10seconds? and passed on to the guys to help bring it up. It's either I get the fish up the boat or I will just jatuh masok air. For real guys, 12kg of idk what fish. PLUS a special shout out to my father and boyfriend who's sooooo into fishing!!! Not bad for a first timer right? And can you imagine, all you need is that string and no fancy fishing equipment was required?! I felt like a lady boss already. HAHAHA.

Anywayyyy it may have been the biggest fish caught for that night and I impressed the local boys there hehehe but damn the meat was tough as hell and super tak sedap. I barely even eat what the other hotel's chef cooked. Bottom line, bigger does not mean it'll be better and size definitely didn't matter. :P

The following morning we head for the water activities such as snorkeling and lunch at the beautiful sand bank. Sadly, these are the only two photos I have as of now as I took a lot more videos and they are all still in my goprohero4. Been procrastinating to have it uploaded but I shall share all the videos taken in my next post (which I don't know whennn I'll do so hahaha).

WE SAW MANYMANYMANY DOLPHINS IN THE WILD AKA DEEP BLUE OCEAN AND IT WILL BE SOMETHING THAT I WILL NEVER EVER FORGET.

Early in the morning I called to check and request if Crystal Sands staff could serve us breakfast in our room and if they could do something with the chilli sauce to mark "Happy Birthday" on one of the plates. They could do both, so one down! 20 mins later and they were still not up yet and I got a little anxious as I wanted to have everything prepared in the room before Atiqah comes in. Ps: She was in the balcony because the wifi reception there's the bomb! #achievementunlocked

So, the kanchiong me wrap my shawl to cover myself before going a floor down only to bump into the waiter who's carrying a tray with sedap breakfast! And I loveee the card that I got for Atiqah. If you don't already know, I'm a sucker for such chic cards and hand made letters. Therefore, I always make sure that I have such for all my best girls along with my composition written in it! Hahaha. :)

Also, I must add we stayed in Crystal Sands for 2 nights and we wanted to extend for the rest of the nights we were in Maafushi but because we booked Sun Tan Beach Hotel for the Sea View Room. Kindly note that we booked a normal room earlier with Crystal Sands only to get an upgrade which we are really thankful for. Anywayyy, both accommodations was just 1 minute away. Okay I lied, it was just 20 seconds away or even less. Gong gong us booked our accommodation just right beside each other and thought hey why not try something different!

Even at Sun Tan Beach Hotel, the service was great. I mean.. Look at the effort that was put in from them rightt from the start of the candle light dinner by the beach? 5* I would assure you! Of course, all this been planned way before hand la. All I had to do be efficient and send out a few emails here and there and tadahhhh everything's settled!!! I will never forget the beautiful set up and how crazy the wind could be, the candles around us, the hearttt shape HAHAHAA and the fact that the both of us were wishing that our partner was there instead.. Hahahahahaa.

Also, it was the first dinner where we had a decent bowl of tom yum soup, grilled seafood mix platter and then only to have the waiter said, "Let me know when you're done with you meal, I'll bring out the cake. You have a cake? A birthday cake?" I think I gave him thatttt lookkk but he doesnt understand!!! Surely, another memorable birthday celebration for the both of us. Hahahaaha.

Don't you wish every morning.. Your view is as good as that? I do, every single day.

"As water reflects the face, so one's life reflects the heart." #projectMaldives (Part 1)

Maldives was to die for.

I'm not sure if I were to say that this trip was spontaneous but one thing for sure was that it wasn't exactly on my to-do list so soon. We booked and settled flight around 1 or was it 2 weeks before? and the accommodation confirmed just days before we fly off! A no-brainer that Maldives are suited more for honeymooners but damn this trip was literally a #gojerdontscared and I'm not regretting it, at all. The clear baby blue sky and the 50 shades of blue was just breathtaking. I was in awe right from the moment we arrived and upon reaching the jetty, we were blown away. If I'm any lighter, I would probably need to tie myself to my luggage!

Meet my lovely travel partner, Atiqah! We were extremely psych about this whole trip and almost whatsapp/instagram each other on everything and anything! Hmm in fact, she's also one of my victims that have to layan my nonsense selfies every now and then. If you don't already know, she's like my second boyfriend already hahahahaha. Also, we are doing this as part of her birthday trip!!!

Anyway, we reached Male on a Friday and they don't exactly work on that day so.. We had no choice but to stay in Eureka Inn for a night before setting off to Maafushi next morning. Even though the surrounding was quite ghetto (totally a lot of Males then Females you know! hahaha) and the room is a little dusty, we managed just fine! Here's a sneak peek of the room...

Plus, the beach that's just 5-7minutes walk away? MAJOR PLUS POINT AND THE WATER WAS CRYSTAL CLEAR.

We were famished and smartie us "ventured" into some lane and took a pitstop at this restaurant which would totally make it in one of thos hipster cafe's list but unfortunately I didn't snap the interior and exterior look of the place. Went back the next day to try our luck for food or rather, ice cream but it was all close! I must add that the serving's huge and price wise was reasonable as well. It's called Rolly Polly or something along the line. I forgot liao. Hahaha.

Very basic breakfast was served but it's cool because we had a private alfresco dining hahahaha at the rooftop. + we got to see and hear seaplanes flying every now and then. Even wished we could be on it but damn that would cost us a few hundred USD just to get on it for the necessary transfers! A quick note to share.. Basically, when you're staying at Eureka Inn and you wanna go to the top floor for food or hot water, you'll have to go through someone's room. Idk how to explain it but it was quite weird at first but then, heck it. It's just for a day, or rather, a night!

Till we meet again, Hulhumale! xx

It's either you roll your eyes at me being all narcissistic or you'll just.. Laugh it off! But hey, this is one of the best ways to past some time while waiting for the public bus and trust me, I've probably become such a pro at it that selfies no longer take that long anymore. HEH HEH HEH.

We had to take a ferry to somewhere (oh god I'm so sorry for forgetting!!) before Atiqah got to do her prayers here. Beautiful beautiful place inside out. But then again, all mosques are beautiful right? :) And I was envious for I didn't get to do what I've niat-ed for e past week but it was the time of the month for me (yeah what luck! mehhh ) so I had to wait outside for a while before we cabbed to the other side of the ferry terminal (sorry I forgot again zzz). The timing's pretty much fixed so we chilled at the ferry terminal area for like boring one a half hour or so before we got on Ranthari!

Survived on this keropok ikan courtesy of Atiqah's mom and the 1.5L of mineral water. Yupp, doze off in e ferry and please don't judge me hor. Also, I'm officially the annoying orange..

1.5 hours later.. Arrived in Maafushi and I fall in love with the place even more.. Sorry for the abrupt ending but till part 2! x
