Cold and rainy friday night at L'etoile Cafe.

I spent a good quiet night alone with a lovely pot of Nymph of the Nile and so-so Chicken Mushroom Pie with side salad last Friday at a place that was seemingly ulu but the minute you reached there, it’s  just.. Nice.  Actually, it was better than nice! J I headed for the outdoor dining because there’s no way I can stand the already crazy and cold day/week.  But I later moved indoors, at the cozy sofa corner (Level 1) when Zie and Zaimah came an hour later. Their Aglio Olio and Carbonara was delicious and I’d recommend that, really! Oh ya, the brownie, (ask them to warm it up for you) 2 thumbs up! :D

So we basically slacked the night away, doing what girls go best, heart to heart talks, irritate and amuse each other, tons of camwhoring but I am not putting them here because the photos are too dark and I was trying out my new Olloclip and no flashes allowed with that clipped on. You don’t want a photo with just black circle thingy don’t you?
Long story cut short, I see myself coming here again and again because L2 is damn cosy (okay la not only L2, L1 and the outdoor dining are decent) and they have interesting interior (major plus point)! Besides the fact that the food portion and price are reasonable, its 5 minutes walking distance from the MRT (Farrer Park). Perfect evening for EVERYONE. Be it with your girlfriends, alone, family or even your partner! xx

Pizza Hut x Queen and Mangosteen.

It felt like years since I last saw HANA but that’s not the case for Atiqah la. I see her almost every week, almost, and to a point that I think she’s bored of me liao. Hahaha. Anyway, dinner last Friday night was at Pizza Hut Harbour Front! As a matter of fact, we noticed that each time we are out together; we are always dining at the same place. -_- Not that it’s our favorite place but came to realize so when we sat down and discussed on what to order. Nevermind that, the girls had chosen wisely, Soft Shell Crabiatta (very goodX10) and Turkey Bacon Carbonara (still good but not my kind coz I’m not into cream based pasta). I on the other hand, wanted to try something new which was the Squid Ink Linguine and damnnnn it was disappointing as hell! Should have stuck to something familiar AND spicy! Ps; the Squid Ink Pasta was just plain sweet though they were pretty generous with the amount of prawn, ink, squid and tomatoes. Meh. I ain’t eating that ever again!

Right after dinner, though I barely touched my pasta, we went to Queen and Mangosteen to chill for the rest of the night. Absolutely love the place because 1) They serve mocktails. Most places like this only do fresh fruit juice or soft drinks and that’s just boring, personal opinion here. 2) Live music and later towards the night, DJ starts to spin really good music. That is my #1 favourite. *Future date, please take note of this.* 3) It’s an outdoor dining/alfresco bar and right opposite the place is Sentosa! That means, water, waves and lovely night breeze! *Future date, kindly take note again. HAHAHA.* We ordered the Warm Chocolate Pudding with Vanilla Ice Cream to share and it’s just ….. SUPER SUPER GOOD. Omg, I wished I can have it right now! :P As for drinks, none was disappointing. Atiqah Lychee Mint, Hana Virgin Margarita Strawberry and I had the same but in Lime flavor. Love it though we had a tough time finishing out drink simply because it seemed to never end! Hahaha.

Henry Congressional.

It was like answering one's prayers in disguise. I wanted to hang out or try a new cafĂ© and my colleague Johann, brought us all (James, Daniel and Wahid) to Henry Congressional. I love how peaceful the place was and how friendly the staffs all are. It’s not those fake friendly kinda treatments but the genuine one. Hahaha idk if you get what I mean either but whatever. :P
If you’d like to know, it’s situated opposite Hendry Park Primary at one of the en-bloc HDBs. There’s a tinge on vintage look and indie feel when you’re there which makes you want to come back for more.

I had hot Mocha and even for someone who drinks coffee on a daily basis, I still find the drink strong. I’m not sure if it’s a good or a bad thing because different people have different levels of coffee-tolerance-level. Again, idk if you get what I meant there. Hahaha I just made those up! Speaking of.. Shiqin’s Vocabulary. HAHA. Kk anyway, if I ever head there again, I’ll get the Earl Grey and the huge yummy cookies there was in the jar! It was SUPER tempting but because I was too full, I decided nah another time would be better. And if any of you are there, do try the Pandan Chiffon Cake please! My colleague said it deserves a 2 thumbs up. Therefore something to look forward to right? :D

Do note that they will be there till end of year only because the whole block will be demolished. Cross your fingers that they'd move somewhere and not close altogether! xx
