Catching up with friends!

 A few weeks back, I went on a meet-up frenzy with 4 different groups of friends who I probably meet for dinner and supper for at least once or twice a year. You may say that that's bad but I honestly felt that arrangement was good enough to catch up on "serious topics". My poly mates since year 1 and after graduating for 3.5 years? We still manage to make time for each other and get our dates right. Once a year to meet up ain't that bad or so I thought.. Hahahaha.
 

 Of course.. Imah, Zaimah and Suefee aren't the ones who I met only once a year. The usual girls we'll meet at least once a month and as for Atiqah, I MEET HER EVERY WEEK AND LOVING IT. Hahahaha in words of my mother, "korang dua lesbian eh?" or "Zaki #2". Oh yeah, sincere apologies for those shameless selfies. I thought my eyebrows were nicely filled in. :P

Valentine's 25th @ The Duxton Hotel.

 

My views on The Duxton Hotel is that it was too dim for a birthday party. It actually turns the atmosphere to be a little "gloomy" especially when coupled with frequent rain and lesser light that comes into the hotel. But of course, for a cosy staycation for two it might have been nice though I wouldn't recommend and would rather one head over to another boutique hotel. I do have to say that the lobby was nicely curated but aside from that, no biggies bout the place uh. The only thing I liked was prolly the bathroom because it was all in emerald green marble!!! 

 

May this #quarterlifecrisis be a wonderful turning point to begin something new and that all great things be sprinkled upon you darling.

Thoughts and gifts.

I unwrapped my gift from my sayang earlier than I was supposed to. As much as I guessed it right when I was in the ferry to Batam, I could only tahan till a few hours before it strike midnight. He did checked/asked me how I feel about owning a GoPro and I told him that it was pretty cool to own one but at the same time, it's too expensive and I don't know how often I'm going to do "extreme" sports. I fear for not making full use of it and I thought he'd just get the not so latest edition because Hero 4 is erm.. Expensive? But guess what, dude went ahead with it! And it didn't stop there, additional 2 Pandora charms was added! Still smiling whenever I see the 'My Princess' tiara charm because ... Unfortunately, the "pet name" he gives me is Kedondong. HAHAHA. So when he says, "You'll always be my princess" cracks me up. Haiz sayang ooo sayang why the hell are you so funny la? This reminds me of the birthday letter he made for me. Freaking A for effort!!! Every single word, was like a reflection of him and us. Sweetest and bestest man I've had in my entire life like-omg. Anyway, I've planned that the bracelet he got for me would basically signify us and it'd be filled with all sorts of charm such as our initials, our favourite hobbies, his favourite color and we'll build it along the way. Ps: It's gonna be an all emerald green theme with occasional white and silver glittery charms. :)

My dearest sister Shahidah bought my gift (FitFlop - The Skinny) like a week before my birthday and she consulted me on the size, colour and pattern before she purchased at TANGS. I can be pretty cerewet if you'd like to know and believe it or not but she got duped into a fake website when she first made purchase for it online. I swear it was hilarious because she had to call POSB to enquire etc and was on a panic mode in the kitchen while I was doing the dishes hahahaha. Thank you for the effort you've put in babe, I know you're pretty much new to major online shopping! Hehehe now I got something to wear on an everyday/weekly basis as my Steve Madden sandals in a bad shape now! <3

Nurul, Sopi, Zie, Faezah, Zaimah and Zie got for me gifts that I totally need. Yes another red lipstick is always welcome right? Gotta love how pigmented and moisturizing it was but sadly, it has almost zero staining power. But I don't care, it's smooth on the lips and the deep red (#showstopper) is something that I've never had! + that pair of earring, gonna be my next statement piece hehehe. Long live Marc by Marc Jacobs! Whereas that perfect blue mini tote from Calvin Klein was from Atiqah and Imah. Cheat sheet: Atiqah asked what I wanted as she was totally out of ideas of what to get for me hahaha. I wanted the same version but in cream and black but that was out of stock. Bummer! Nonetheless, the bag came with 2 roses and a glitter globe.. C'mon how sweet can this Atiqah be you tell me!? Anyway, that's my everyday work bag from then on! :)

Appreciating the good people around me and thankful for all the gifts that they've showered me upon. I feel so lucky. May god bless them all. XOXO.

Potluck - Halal Zi Char at IMM.

 So I met the online girls that I am close with last night, had dinner at this particular Halal Zi Char place at IMM Level 1. I gotta admit that the food there was pretty decent for it's price and the fact that the drinks ($2.80/person) and rice ($1.50/person) were free flow! Yay to the pretty awesome teh tarik as we all had a few rounds of that hahaha. Food we ordered were Hotplate Omelet, Seafood Tom Yum (surprisingly good and shiok kinda spicy!), Black Pepper Beef and Chicken Winglets. Yes no veggies because it was close to $10/plate for it and thus we thought we might as well take meat! HAHAHA. We ended up chilling out at the place for a good two hours or so! Didn't take many photos of the food as the lights in there were a little dim but of course, us being us girls, we didn't leave without taking a couple of group shots! Hehehe.

Always an interesting time spent with them three because I get to know and learn so many things! For example, the prices to the MUA available, who is better at doing what, the fact that Peti Solek can be more expensive than The Wedding Brocade, the different types of caterers, the venue and the crazy prices some places charge, how cheap berkat can get when it's bought across the borders, all the HLEs and procedures to securing a humble abode to live in after marriage and god knows what hahahaha. Yes I'm positively sure everything is gonna change in the future. What's in now will definitely be out in 3-4 years time or at least that's how I feel. Plus the rising cost of living.. Omg, let's not get started there shall we? Because ikotkan hati, I just wanna nikah at that mosque and hey ho let's do a one month backpacking honeymoon. HAHAHA.

Bittersweet memories of this place and one thing's for sure is that I doubt any of us will head back there. I loved the place because of the fairy lights, roof top dining and credits to the presentation of food. But unfortunately, nothing is exactly tasty nor memorable (in terms of food)!

By far, my bestest set of babes.

Faezah's 27th was celebrated at Fish & Co GlassHouse and we went a lil crazy with the #wefies. Damnn we had a lot of time laughing and talking like bullet train. +++ so happy to see Nurul and Zie with their caramel tanned skin. Which makes me envious and I simply can't wait for my diving trip this October 31st! Hehehe.

 

Met this prettaye B2B to collect my material for the bridesmaid outfit and had a good catchup at Cahaya over claypot x  sotong you char quay my favouriteeeee. Always glad to talk to this teacher of mine! Again, can't wait for the final product of it and I should be sending it to have it tailored by end of next week or this Deepavali! The year is coming to an end, quite a few things gotta be done promptly! 

That necklace belongs to birthday girl but of course I had to sebok-menyebok and "jazz" up my outfit.  I even borrowed Zaimah's? Or was it Nurul's shades? Hahahahaha. If you'd know me better.. The only accessory I own are my pandoras and agnes b earring. Planning to get the swarovski starfish once I'm back from my Tioman trip. I don't care if it's slightly big because after years, there's none that I liked except for the Tiffany's but too ex it's merepek hahahaha.

The only two other girls that are missing from above are Atiqah and Imah and then, it would have been a complete blog post but..... It's been way too long since we last went out together. I miss them like crazy and I wished we had more time to go out and just be crazy butttt time does not permit! :(

My family, girlfriends and other half makes me whole.

 Brought Atiqah out for her birthday lunch at PS Cafe @ Palais Renaissance and was pretty disapointed with my Prawn Aglio Olio because there was barely any spice to it. It lacks the garlic and cili padi like how I like and expected it to. In fact, it was oily. Bummer ain't it? And yes, I know I should have gotten the truffle fries but we had zero interest for that at that point of time. Hahaha.

 I decided to treat the parents to Tiffany's Cafe at Furama just so that I can spend some time with them before Dad did his knee operation and again, the food was nowhere our expectations. I should have brought them to any of the Turkish restaurants at Arab Street lor. Seriously, I/we would be more puas hati. The food wasn't thatttt bad la but the interior could have been improved. I'm shocked as to how the management can allow such tables and chairs still be utilized. :/

Day out with the cousins, was one hell of a crazy yet relaxing! It rained in the late morning to early afternoon and we almost cancelled it for stay at home movie marathon but thank god for some who insist hahahaha. The weather when we reached West Coast Park was perfect. Cool and breezy + the fact that every family had a task to do/bring/cook, made the whole pot luck picnic great! We left for home (our home) to shower, did our Marghrib prayers before purchasing Red Riding Hood from MioTV and continued snacking till it was time for the kiddos to head home. L O V E.

I don't know if it's appropriate to label myself as an OCD person as my work desk is not exactly arranged neatly where my documents and folders are stacked accordingly but I try to clear and keep it mess free, daily. Unless if I end work really late and I know I have tons to do the following day, I will not bother because at 8.30am, work begins full on. BUT my room, has got to be clean and tidy at ALL times. I cannot stand girls with freaking messy rooms. How the hell do you live in a room where your bed is undone, your clothes are lying on the floor, dirty mirrors and rooms where you don't freaking open up the windows for ventilation?! Gross.

Often you will see me blabbering on twitter on how mad I am with my second sister with her not helping out or rather, only helps out when I asked her to. I mean.. Shouldn't all these be done voluntarily already? I get so tired and pissed when constant reminders have to fall on death ears and all she does is watch her One Direction videos on youtube. Like what the effing hell right? To add to that, unfair when they want to borrow my clothes and expects a Yes, all the time + instantaneously. That comes to a point where I pray really hard that Zaki or whoever my lawful husband to be, will be a neat freak or rather have some form of initiative to help me out with keeping things clean. Because guys, I cannot be doing this, alone, for the rest of my life. I might go crazy hahahahaha.

Mid week updates.

Before I begin, I'd like to let the whole wide world that I'm very tired and sleepy right now. I wished I can head back home right after work today but I'm made plans with my girlfriends and I'm not the kind that would bail out at the very last minute unless I'm down with my monthly period cramps. On a good note, I suggested to have some cinnamon or chocolate churros at Orchard Central! We shall see how that goes, I hope it'll be good or else, I might be.. Cranky. Hahaha.

A good mid week was spent with Zie at Arteastiq Boutique Tea House. I'd only recommend the teas there and definitely not the food. Lychee Tea wins over Pomelo Tea and for the 'Afternoon Treats', which was part of the High Tea Sets, the food was not worth our $56. Only the salmon slices x orange cake tasted good, the rest was crap. :( Hmmm.. I don't really have much to say about this place either, it is quiteeeee nice but I assume the white furniture/wall where we were seated, needs a fresh coat of paint. Also, the service staff by the bar needs to learn how to smile more then perhaps, food might taste better. 

 We popped by Zaimah's workplace right after I got my BB Ettusais and I practically layankan Zie with her never ending nonsense. Hahahaha. Oh yaaaaaaaaaa did ya know that sushi at the conveyor belt at Ramen Ten after 8pm? goes for 99cents per plate and hell, we had a great time stacking them up hehehehe. I LOVE SASHIMI BUT IT AIN'T GOING FOR 99CENTS. In fact, I didn't know how much it costs for a plate of 8 fat thick salmon slices.. I just.. eat and pay only lor. x

Cake Spade Anniversary! x

 Celebrated Cake Spade's Anniversary with my darling valentine, Zaimah and we got a beautiful bouquet of roses along with a few others in hues of purple for the amazing baker/owner/founder, Zenn but sadly.. We missed her by a few minutes and she had to run errands. Nonetheless, always praying the best for one of my bestest girls in their future endeavors.

If you're there and you aren't sure of what to get, don't worry. E v e r y t h i n g is sedap nak mampos aka grafifying! A slice won't kill babes. You'll burn off them calories in your 5 inch. Latersss!
