Dating with the datin - Asian Market Cafe @ Fairmont Hotel

So I've decided to begin this blog post with a plate of unglam left overs of yummy chili crab and.. Atiqah. Hahahaha.

We both had tons of fun making our own ice kachang. I mean.. How often do you get to play with the ice shredder thingy? Perhaps not even once a year lor. Anyway, we took a took a video but I bet none of you could understand because it was all just both of us.. Laughing? HAHAHA merepek gila, I swear. And nope I barely touched any of the desserts (because I'm not really a dessert person) but I'm regretting it now because I would loveeeeeeee to sink into 10 or more pineapple tarts now! Spamming photos of food that I didn't eat simply because it will serve as a reminder that I should try them the next time round! Yeap, I would definitely recommend lunching here when you've got the time and cash! :)

  1. The chili crab could have been a little spicier and it'll be perfect!
  2. The roast chicken was a little dry.
  3. The satay (peanut sauce was GOOD!) and no comments on the otah-otah coz it was sedap also! Totally giving both 4.5/5. In fact, I don't really know what's missing that I ain't giving it full points but yeah.. Hahaha.

The salads served was a little different and it's actually a positive one because I enjoyed the squid salad, a lot. Or maybe I'm just a big fan of sotong. Hahaha. There was a certain spice that was used that made it refreshing? AND OMG THE CHILLED SEAFOOD WERE SO DAMN FRESH? I'm sorry for the lack of vocab on how to describe food but yeah, I loved them nonetheless. Till now, I wonder how the hell do they boil those prawns to be sweet? In fact, I can just chill one corner and peel them prawns.. If only Faezah and Sopi were there with me, pretty sure there's gonna be a competition! Speaking of which, I miss my girlfriends already! :(

Two things that I menyesal nak mampos aka regret like wanna die are as follows:
LAKSA AND BRYANI. I mean.. How can I even not eat those two right? Surely it's my first saying NO to practically an all-you-can-eat Bryani but oh wells, guess there's a first to everything. HAHA padan muka sendiri but takpe, ade rezeki, we shall attack tu beras basmati goodness.

Again, thank you Mak Su aka Atiqah for the belated birthday treat! Delicious food, good company and I don't even have to worry about using my hands to eat (damn you sweet prawns and shiok chilli crab!), be unglam and a lil dirty hahaha. Another plus point to dining with someone you're comfortable with, enjoying your food to the fullest! hehehe and cheers to many more years of friendship! Thank you for all the things you've done for me and staying by my side throughout my merepek times where some couldn't handle! XOXO, Kak Long.

Troubled complexion.

I am having quite a number of outbreak at the wrong timing, ever. Countdown for the NYE (where I'll be seeing a lot of people and erm.. My sayang?) and Renny's big day (where I'll be having a proper MUA to do face and hair for myself and the rest of the bridesmaid + working/seeing/knowing a lot more people). So so stressful to be prone to whiteheads and pimples though at the same time, I feel like I should give up altogether? Coz-I-da-malas.

No change to my skincare or makeup routine, therefore, I feel that it might be the Skin Magic Tea that's working it's "magic"? Purging and all that stuff. Anyhoo, I'm determined to just continue drinking the tea daily and we shall see.. After all, it's been only 2 weeks and I prolly should give it another 3 weeks or so. Idk la, I'll just drink till I'm done with the whole packet. Hahaha.

Just yesterday I managed to set an appointment for a facial and so far, most of the annoying whiteheads, black heads are out zzzzzz. I despise those tiny bumps. And I shall remember to clarisonic my face every other day before I head to bed too.+ double cleansing and regular masking no matter how ridiculously sleepy I can be. :(

Haizzzz if only I'm one of those girls who can just wash their face with water and be freaking flawless. Unfortunately, I.AM.NOT. Booooo.

Thoughts and gifts.

I unwrapped my gift from my sayang earlier than I was supposed to. As much as I guessed it right when I was in the ferry to Batam, I could only tahan till a few hours before it strike midnight. He did checked/asked me how I feel about owning a GoPro and I told him that it was pretty cool to own one but at the same time, it's too expensive and I don't know how often I'm going to do "extreme" sports. I fear for not making full use of it and I thought he'd just get the not so latest edition because Hero 4 is erm.. Expensive? But guess what, dude went ahead with it! And it didn't stop there, additional 2 Pandora charms was added! Still smiling whenever I see the 'My Princess' tiara charm because ... Unfortunately, the "pet name" he gives me is Kedondong. HAHAHA. So when he says, "You'll always be my princess" cracks me up. Haiz sayang ooo sayang why the hell are you so funny la? This reminds me of the birthday letter he made for me. Freaking A for effort!!! Every single word, was like a reflection of him and us. Sweetest and bestest man I've had in my entire life like-omg. Anyway, I've planned that the bracelet he got for me would basically signify us and it'd be filled with all sorts of charm such as our initials, our favourite hobbies, his favourite color and we'll build it along the way. Ps: It's gonna be an all emerald green theme with occasional white and silver glittery charms. :)

My dearest sister Shahidah bought my gift (FitFlop - The Skinny) like a week before my birthday and she consulted me on the size, colour and pattern before she purchased at TANGS. I can be pretty cerewet if you'd like to know and believe it or not but she got duped into a fake website when she first made purchase for it online. I swear it was hilarious because she had to call POSB to enquire etc and was on a panic mode in the kitchen while I was doing the dishes hahahaha. Thank you for the effort you've put in babe, I know you're pretty much new to major online shopping! Hehehe now I got something to wear on an everyday/weekly basis as my Steve Madden sandals in a bad shape now! <3

Nurul, Sopi, Zie, Faezah, Zaimah and Zie got for me gifts that I totally need. Yes another red lipstick is always welcome right? Gotta love how pigmented and moisturizing it was but sadly, it has almost zero staining power. But I don't care, it's smooth on the lips and the deep red (#showstopper) is something that I've never had! + that pair of earring, gonna be my next statement piece hehehe. Long live Marc by Marc Jacobs! Whereas that perfect blue mini tote from Calvin Klein was from Atiqah and Imah. Cheat sheet: Atiqah asked what I wanted as she was totally out of ideas of what to get for me hahaha. I wanted the same version but in cream and black but that was out of stock. Bummer! Nonetheless, the bag came with 2 roses and a glitter globe.. C'mon how sweet can this Atiqah be you tell me!? Anyway, that's my everyday work bag from then on! :)

Appreciating the good people around me and thankful for all the gifts that they've showered me upon. I feel so lucky. May god bless them all. XOXO.

“Keep your eyes on the stars, and your feet on the ground.”

So.. My favourite top of the month is as above and I can't freaking remember where it was from because I got it months ago and it was packed along with all those tops I bought online but never got to wear! I know.. -_- I love that vibrant bright green skirt as the material is awesome despite the length. Yeah supposed to have it altered, again, but I'm too lazy and $10-$15 just to make it 4 inch shorter? That would be a total of $80+ for 1 skirt. A bit too much don't you think so? Sure I can always alter it myself (i usually do it for my basics) but it's tough when it comes to stretchy fabric and no way am I ruining a pair of beautiful Miss Selfridge's. Till then lovelies!

Skin Magic Tea by Your Tea

Apart from a Stila Lipglaze and a long hot pink skirt, which needs to be altered. I mean.. What's new right? Hahaha. It's super long but I'm determine to have it suited to my height! Renny got me a box of this goodness as a part of my birthday gift. As she had mentioned in her blog, it may be some kind of placebo effect going on but if it works to prevent all those annoying congested pores, why not!? I'm easily prone to it when I skip my clarisonic when it ran out of batt. Faithfully doing it every other night after a thorough facial really helps to keep it at bay. Anyway, pictures!

I can't wait to share if it really does helps to make my skin clearer and I will update in 3 weeks time! Just so you guys know, I'm on my second box of the Tiny Tea Tox not because I wanna lose any more weight but mainly for the spark of energy it gives that helps me to last a full day. FYI, I can stay up a lil late max 11+pm nowadays. Helpful especially on days where my sayang ends work late and we didn't get to catch up during the day. Yeah story of someone's life who's super used to sleeping early! x

Potluck - Halal Zi Char at IMM.

So I met the online girls that I am close with last night, had dinner at this particular Halal Zi Char place at IMM Level 1. I gotta admit that the food there was pretty decent for it's price and the fact that the drinks ($2.80/person) and rice ($1.50/person) were free flow! Yay to the pretty awesome teh tarik as we all had a few rounds of that hahaha. Food we ordered were Hotplate Omelet, Seafood Tom Yum (surprisingly good and shiok kinda spicy!), Black Pepper Beef and Chicken Winglets. Yes no veggies because it was close to $10/plate for it and thus we thought we might as well take meat! HAHAHA. We ended up chilling out at the place for a good two hours or so! Didn't take many photos of the food as the lights in there were a little dim but of course, us being us girls, we didn't leave without taking a couple of group shots! Hehehe.

Always an interesting time spent with them three because I get to know and learn so many things! For example, the prices to the MUA available, who is better at doing what, the fact that Peti Solek can be more expensive than The Wedding Brocade, the different types of caterers, the venue and the crazy prices some places charge, how cheap berkat can get when it's bought across the borders, all the HLEs and procedures to securing a humble abode to live in after marriage and god knows what hahahaha. Yes I'm positively sure everything is gonna change in the future. What's in now will definitely be out in 3-4 years time or at least that's how I feel. Plus the rising cost of living.. Omg, let's not get started there shall we? Because ikotkan hati, I just wanna nikah at that mosque and hey ho let's do a one month backpacking honeymoon. HAHAHA.

Agrobazaar Malaysia at Sultan Gate. #belatedbirthdaydinner

Bittersweet memories of this place and one thing's for sure is that I doubt any of us will head back there. I loved the place because of the fairy lights, roof top dining and credits to the presentation of food. But unfortunately, nothing is exactly tasty nor memorable (in terms of food)!

And here are 3 blurry photos of us two because I insist on us switching places simply because I look better on his right.
Cmon man, I am Mrs Always Right. Oh not yet is it? *cues annoying self*

God bless Zaki with much patience to be with Annoying Ashiqin. HAHAHAHA omg I can't believe I had that typed out.
Remember annoying orange? Yeap I can probably be that. :P

This photo is close to perfect in my eyes.

A little too late for an update.

I've been feeling so lucky and blessed with all that has been happening in my life right now. I can never thank god enough for all the love, happiness, health and a little bit of wealth that He had showered me with. There are so many things I'd like to share but I don't have the photos in hand but I will and shall do it full force when I get a chance to do so. Would loveeee to keep things going and not just have a stale platform.

Yeah yeah I know... I've said that many times but I no longer want to procrastinate anymore. Shall not care if people read, it's mainly for myself to document the things that happens to me daily/weekly? One thing that I'd like to do is to update at the very least every 4 days starting in 2015 onwards. Probably begin with a reflection on my next post as November 30 just passed. I gotta have things written down on what I've achieved and what more I should be achieving after turning 24. Omggg I feel like I'm underachieved things but at the same time, I feel that I'm on the right track? Keyword: think. After all, there's nothing to rush right? I have many many more years ahead of me. In sha allah!

Ps: My sayang bought me a GoPro Hero 4 as a birthday gift and I had it opened 2 days before the official midnight. Hell, I even read his extremely touching yet funny birthday letter way before I was supposed to! Anywayyyy, I'm still getting the hang of it........ AND I CANNOT WAIT TO LEARN/EXPLORE/TAKE GOOD ANGLES OF EVERYTHING. ESPECIALLY PHOTOS OF MYSELF. HAHAHA.
